WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...RECORD HEAT AND ELEVATED TO CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  One last day of record heat and elevated to critical fire weather conditions will occur today. A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the plains and I-25 Corridor as temperatures soar into the 99 to 104 degree range. A Red Flag Warning is also in effect for most of the plains east of I-25.  High based showers and isolated storms may bring sudden but strong, gusty winds late this afternoon and evening. Most gusts would range between 30 and 40 mph, but isolated rogue gusts of 50-60 mph will be possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Much cooler weather will arrive Friday and Saturday, along with a chance of showers and storms over the higher terrain and light drizzle across the metro and areas east. A few snowflakes will even be possible in the mountains, mainly above 10 thousand feet. Most precipitation amounts will be light.  Drier weather can be expected Sunday, but the chance of showers and storms will return early next week with the highest chance in the mountains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
