The hot and dry weather will also lead to elevated fire weather conditions across the area. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Record to near record heat and elevated fire weather conditions will persist Wednesday and Thursday. High temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 90s over most of the plains both days, with a few spots exceeding 100F in the lowest elevations. Mountain areas will see highs in the 70s and 80s, with 80s to lower 90s in the foothills. Cooler temperatures will arrive by Friday, while a true taste of fall can be expected by Saturday with much cooler temperatures.
