YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible through about 10 PM MDT (11 PM CDT) this evening for locations generally along and north of a line from Kit Carson, Colorado to Goodland, Oberlin and Norton, Kansas. The primary hazards will be brief and sudden wind gusts up to 60 mph and a brief period of locally heavy rainfall. A heat burst cannot be ruled out and would be accompanied by a sudden rise in temperature and decrease in relative humidity along with potentially strong wind gusts.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  Heat index values of 100 to 103 degrees are expected Tuesday afternoon along and east Kansas Highway 25.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate reports of severe weather via telephone and social media.
