This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Record heat and isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon. Thunderstorms will produce gusty wind gusts up to 45 mph. Time window for thunderstorms reamins 2-7 PM. Cloud cover will increase late evening which could impact our record highs. Afternoon temperatures will soar to the upper 90s to 106 for the eastern plains, urban corridor and parts of the foothills. Above normal temperatures are also expected for the mountains and valleys reaching the mid 70s to mid 80s. Thunderstorm coverage remains limited over the burn areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday There will be a daily chance of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly over the higher terrain with lesser chances over the plains. The stronger storms could produce strong winds up to 55 mph. There will be a limited threat of burn area flash flooding each day although that chance may increase next weekend with increasing monsoonal moisture. The heat will continue with Friday and Saturday likely being the hottest day. Highs could reach 100 degrees or above on the plains each of those days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
