YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  There will be a few isolated showers or thunderstorms across the area through midnight MDT. Best chance for any convection during this time will be east of Highway 25, and along and north of Highway 36.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  Well above normal temperatures return for Independence Day with heat indices approaching 105 degrees along and east of Highway 83. Be sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade if attending any outdoor holiday activities.  Near critical fire weather conditions are forecast for Independence Day. Sparks from fireworks or vehicles parked in tall grass are prime sources to start fires.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected tonight, but any reports of wind or hail from earlier storms would be greatly appreciated by phone or social media.
