YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Patchy fog has developed across portions of Thomas, Logan, Sheridan and Gove counties. If driving on Interstate 70 be prepared for rapid reductions in visibility.  Showers and isolated storms are possible this afternoon and evening mainly north of Interstate 70. Gusty winds of 50-60 mph and locally heavy rainfall are the primary hazards.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Isolated severe storms are again possible Sunday along and east of a Yuma, Colorado to Quinter, Kansas line with the possibility of localized wind gusts over 60 mph and hail as large as quarters.  Well above normal temperatures return for Independence Day with heat indices approaching 105 degrees along and east of Highway 83. Be sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade if attending any outdoor holiday activities.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected.
