YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible this evening for areas along and west of Highway 83. Wind gusts to 55 mph are possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  A period of elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are expected for Saturday through Monday as hot temperatures combine with low relative humidity and gusty winds. The main areas of concern would be eastern Colorado and areas south of Interstate 70 in northwest Kansas.  There will be a chance for thunderstorms each day from Saturday through Tuesday, with Tuesday being the best chance for seeing thunderstorm activity. There is a chance some of the storms on Sunday become severe.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be required.
