YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across Cheyenne county Colorado, Wallace, Logan and Wichita counties in Kansas between 4 PM MDT and 6 PM MDT. A few of these storms could become severe with the primary hazards being cloud to ground lightning which may spark fires, hail up to half dollar size, and wind gusts up to 60 mph. During the evening hours, shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to spread northeast across the remainder of the Tri-State area. A few thunderstorms could become severe with hail up to half dollar size and wind gusts to 60 mph.  After midnight, showers and thunderstorms will continue with a chance for a few storms to produce hail up to half dollar size. Fog is also expected to develop producing reduced visibilities.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  Fog and reduced visibilities are expected Monday morning across the entire Tri-State area.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be needed after 4 PM MDT (5 PM CDT). We would appreciate any reports of severe weather via telephone and social media.
