YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A few thunderstorms will move across the Tri-State area through this evening. The primary hazards will be dry lightning which may spark fires, erratic thunderstorm outflow wind gusts up to 65 mph and possibly hail up to an inch or so in diameter. Some blowing dust is also possible from the outflow winds causing reduced visibilities.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Near critical to critical fire weather conditions are possible Friday south of a line from Kit Carson, Colorado to Leoti, Kansas. Non severe thunderstorms are possible through the day and night, primarily along and north of Interstate 70. There is low confidence of some patchy blowing dust across the area as northwest winds gust up to 45 mph.  Northwest winds gusting up to 50 mph are expected through the day Saturday. Confidence is low for blowing dust to develop. Near critical fire weather conditions are possible from Kit Carson, Colorado to Tribune, Kansas.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate any reports of severe weather and blowing dust. Report any fires to local dispatch.
