YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather conditions remains in effect late this morning through sunset today for Red Willow, Norton and Graham counties. Caution should be used if burning outdoors. Near Critical conditions will be present across the rest of the Tri State area.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  A high impact weather day is expected Tuesday. Southwest winds gusting 45 to 60 mph are expected through the day ahead of a cold front that will move through late in the day and through the overnight hours. Blowing dust and reduced visibilities are likely during the day. Those who are sensitive to air quality should remain indoors.  A High Wind Watch remains in effect for most areas along/south of the Interstate.  A Red Flag Warning is in effect for all areas Tuesday afternoon and early evening. First responders should be mindful that an abrupt wind shift is expected with a cold front and should keep in touch with the National Weather Service for the latest information.  Snow showers are expected Tuesday night with little if any accumulation.  Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions are expected for the entire Tri State area on Thursday and Friday during the afternoon hours.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
