YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A High Wind Warning is in effect for Yuma county until 7 PM MDT. West winds gusting up to 60 mph are expected. Blowing dust is also expected with visibilities as low as one mile, locally less in spots. Those who are sensitive to air quality should remain indoors.  A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 7 PM MDT all locations except those in Greeley, Wichita and Gove counties. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  Patchy blowing dust and some reduced visibilities will be possible through sunset along the Kansas Nebraska border.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  A Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather conditions is in effect late Monday morning through sunset Monday for Red Willow, Norton and Graham counties. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  A high impact weather day is expected Tuesday. Southwest winds gusting 45 to 60 mph are expected through the day ahead of a cold front that will move through late in the day and through the overnight hours. Blowing dust and reduced visibilities are likely during the day ahead of the front. Patchy blowing dust is possible behind the front. Those who are sensitive to air quality should remain indoors. A High Wind Watch is in effect for some.  A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect for all areas but Yuma county Tuesday afternoon and early evening. First responders should be mindful that an abrupt wind shift is expected with a cold front and should keep in touch with the National Weather Service for the latest information.  Snow showers are expected Tuesday night with little if any accumulation.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
